What is it used for?
This medicine is used mainly to relieve neuropathic (nerve-related) pain, such as burning, tingling, numbness or shooting pain caused by conditions such as diabetes or nerve damage.
How does it work?
Pregabalin reduces excessive pain signals sent by damaged nerves. Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B12 that supports normal nerve function.
How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, with or without food. Swallow it with water. Do not stop it suddenly without medical advice, as the dose may need to be reduced gradually.
Common side effects
Dizziness, sleepiness, blurred vision, dry mouth, tiredness, swelling of the hands or feet, and weight gain.
Precautions
Avoid driving or operating machinery until its effects are known. Avoid alcohol, as it may increase sleepiness and dizziness. Tell the doctor about kidney disease, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or a history of drug dependence. Seek medical help for severe allergy, facial or throat swelling, breathing difficulty, or unusual mood or behaviour changes.
