What is it used for?
Used for temporary relief of cough, blocked or stuffy nose, runny nose and sneezing associated with common cold and similar upper-respiratory symptoms.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan reduces the cough reflex. Chlorpheniramine helps relieve allergy-like symptoms such as runny nose and sneezing, while phenylephrine helps reduce nasal congestion.

How to take/use it
Use exactly as directed on the product label or by a healthcare professional. Do not take more than recommended or combine with other cough-and-cold medicines unless advised. Use a measuring device for liquid products.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea, headache, nervousness or difficulty sleeping. Phenylephrine may cause a fast heartbeat or increased blood pressure.

Precautions
May cause drowsiness; avoid driving and alcohol until the effects are known. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors or within 14 days of stopping them. Seek medical advice before use if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, thyroid disease, prostate or urination problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Do not use in children unless specifically advised. Seek medical advice if the cough lasts or worsens.
