What is it used for?
Used to help improve appetite and support weight gain in people with poor appetite or inadequate nutritional intake, when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
Cyproheptadine blocks certain histamine and serotonin effects and may stimulate appetite. Tricholine citrate and sorbitol are included as supportive ingredients in the formulation.

How to take/use it
Take only as directed by the doctor. Measure the syrup with the supplied measuring device and do not take more than prescribed. Avoid driving or operating machinery until its effects are known.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, increased appetite, nausea and stomach discomfort. Sorbitol may cause loose stools or abdominal discomfort in some people.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol and use caution with sleeping tablets, sedatives or other medicines that cause drowsiness. Tell the doctor if there is glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, prostate problems, asthma, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek medical help for severe sleepiness, breathing difficulty or an allergic reaction.
