What is it used for?
This syrup is used to relieve cough with phlegm and may help ease wheezing or chest tightness in certain respiratory conditions.
How does it work?
Levosalbutamol relaxes the muscles of the airways to improve breathing. Ambroxol thins and loosens mucus, while guaiphenesin helps clear phlegm from the airways.
How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed or as directed on the label. Shake the bottle well before use and measure each dose with the provided measuring cup or spoon. Do not take more than the recommended amount.
Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, trembling or nervousness, and a fast heartbeat may occur.
Precautions
Use cautiously and seek medical advice if there is heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, an overactive thyroid, or a history of seizures. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek medical attention for severe breathing difficulty, chest pain, a very fast or irregular heartbeat, or a cough that persists or worsens.
