What is it used for?
This medicine is used for short-term relief of dry, irritating cough, including cough associated with cold or allergy symptoms.
How does it work?
Levodropropizine reduces the cough reflex. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that helps reduce allergy-related symptoms such as sneezing and a runny nose.
How to take/use it
Take only as directed by a doctor or according to the product label. Do not take more than recommended. This medicine may cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery until its effects are known.
Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, stomach discomfort and headache may occur.
Precautions
Avoid alcohol because it can increase drowsiness. Use caution with other medicines that cause sleepiness. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if there is glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, asthma or other breathing problems. Seek medical advice if the cough is severe, persistent, or accompanied by breathing difficulty or high fever.
