What is it used for?
Used for short-term relief of dry, irritating cough along with blocked or runny nose associated with a common cold or similar upper respiratory symptoms.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan suppresses the cough reflex. Phenylephrine helps reduce nasal congestion, while chlorpheniramine (CPM) helps relieve runny nose and sneezing.

How to take/use it
Take only as directed on the product label or by a doctor or pharmacist. Do not take more than recommended, and check other cold or cough medicines to avoid duplicate ingredients.

Common side effects
Sleepiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea, headache, nervousness, or difficulty sleeping. Phenylephrine may cause a fast heartbeat or increased blood pressure.

Precautions
May cause drowsiness; avoid alcohol and driving if affected. Consult a doctor before use if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, prostate or urination problems, or thyroid disease. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitor medicines, and check with a doctor or pharmacist before using with antidepressants or other medicines that cause drowsiness. Seek medical advice if the cough lasts several days, worsens, or is associated with breathing difficulty or high fever.
