What is it used for?
This combination is used to supplement calcium and active vitamin D (calcitriol) and support bone health, particularly when additional calcium and vitamin D are needed. It may be prescribed for calcium or vitamin D deficiency and related bone disorders.

How does it work?
Calcium provides the mineral needed for bones, while calcitriol helps the body absorb calcium. Vitamin K, magnesium, zinc, vitamin B12 and L-methylfolate support normal bone and body functions.

How to take/use it
Take only as directed by a doctor or according to the product label. Swallow the capsule whole with water, preferably with food unless otherwise advised. Do not take additional calcium or vitamin D supplements without medical advice.

Common side effects
Constipation, nausea, stomach discomfort, bloating or diarrhoea may occur. Excess calcium may cause increased thirst or urination, weakness, or confusion and requires medical attention.

Precautions
Use only under medical advice if there is kidney disease, kidney stones, high calcium or vitamin D levels, or parathyroid disease. Calcitriol can raise blood calcium, so monitoring may be needed. Vitamin K may interact with warfarin and similar blood thinners. Calcium can reduce the absorption of iron, thyroid medicines and some antibiotics; ask a pharmacist or doctor about suitable separation between medicines. Avoid exceeding the recommended dose.
