What is it used for?
Used to relieve dry cough associated with cold or allergy symptoms. It may also help reduce sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan reduces the cough reflex. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that reduces allergy-related symptoms such as sneezing and a runny nose.

How to take/use it
Take only as directed on the label or by a doctor. Use the measuring device supplied if it is a liquid, and do not take more than the recommended amount. Do not combine with other cough, cold or antihistamine medicines unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects
Sleepiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea and constipation may occur.

Precautions
May cause drowsiness; avoid driving and alcohol until its effects are known. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) medicines, and check with a doctor before use with antidepressants or other medicines that cause drowsiness. Seek medical advice for breathing difficulty, a persistent cough, or a cough with large amounts of phlegm. Use medical advice in children, older adults, glaucoma, prostate or urinary problems, and during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
