What is it used for?
Amorolfine 0.25% is used on the skin to treat fungal infections such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, fungal infections of the groin or body, pityriasis versicolor and some yeast infections of the skin.

How does it work?
It blocks the production of substances that fungi need to build their cell membrane. This stops the growth and spread of the fungus.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply to clean, dry, affected skin exactly as directed by a doctor or the product label. Wash hands before and after use, unless the hands are being treated. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other sensitive areas.

Common side effects
Mild burning, stinging, itching, redness, dryness or irritation at the application site. Stop use and seek medical advice if a severe rash or allergic reaction develops.

Precautions
Do not apply to the eyes or swallow it. Avoid applying to severely damaged or irritated skin unless advised by a doctor. Seek medical advice if the infection does not improve, gets worse or keeps returning. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Keep the affected area clean and dry, and do not share towels or clothing.
