What is it used for?
This combination is used for temporary relief of cough, blocked or runny nose, sneezing and related symptoms of the common cold or allergies.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan helps reduce the urge to cough. Chlorpheniramine reduces allergy symptoms such as sneezing and a runny nose, while phenylephrine helps relieve nasal congestion.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth only as directed on the product label or by a doctor. Measure the syrup with an accurate measuring device. Do not take more than recommended or combine it with other cough, cold, antihistamine or decongestant medicines.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea, headache, nervousness, increased blood pressure or a fast heartbeat may occur.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol and be careful when driving or operating machinery because drowsiness or dizziness may occur. Seek medical advice before use if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, breathing problems, difficulty passing urine or prostate enlargement. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), or within 14 days of stopping them. Ask a doctor before giving it to children, and seek medical advice if symptoms are severe or persistent.
