What is it used for?
This combination is used for cough with phlegm, especially when mucus is thick or there is wheezing or narrowing of the airways. It helps loosen and clear mucus and makes breathing easier.

How does it work?
Ambroxol and guaiphenesin help thin and loosen mucus so it can be coughed out more easily. Terbutaline relaxes the airway muscles and helps open the airways.

How to take/use it
Use exactly as prescribed by the doctor or as directed on the product label. Do not take more than the recommended amount or use it for longer than advised. If it is a liquid, measure each dose with the supplied measuring device.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach upset, headache, dizziness, tremor, nervousness, muscle cramps or a fast heartbeat may occur.

Precautions
Use only with medical advice if there is heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, an overactive thyroid, low potassium or a history of seizures. Tell the doctor about pregnancy or breastfeeding before use. Seek medical attention for severe breathing difficulty, chest pain, a very fast or irregular heartbeat, or a skin rash or swelling. Do not combine with other cough medicines unless advised by a doctor.
