What is it used for?
ORS Liquid helps prevent and treat dehydration caused by diarrhoea, vomiting, or other fluid loss by replacing water and essential salts.
How does it work?
It contains water, salts and glucose, which help the intestines absorb fluids and restore the body's fluid and electrolyte balance.
How to take/use it
Take by mouth in small, frequent sips. Use it as supplied and follow the product label for storage and the time limit after opening. Do not add extra water or other ingredients unless instructed. If vomiting occurs, wait briefly and restart with small sips.
Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort or bloating may occur, especially if taken too quickly.
Precautions
Seek medical help for severe dehydration, persistent vomiting or diarrhoea, blood in the stool, very little or no urine, unusual drowsiness, or inability to drink. Use with medical advice in severe kidney disease or when fluid or salt intake is restricted. Keep infants and children under close observation during diarrhoea.
