Alkemfero Er 300 Tablet (6'S) Faropenem 300 Mg Extended Release By Alkem

What is it used for?
Faropenem is an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections, including some infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues. It does not work against viral infections such as colds or flu.

How does it work?
It kills susceptible bacteria by blocking the formation of their protective cell wall, helping clear the infection.

How to take/use it
Take it only as prescribed and complete the full course, even if symptoms improve. Swallow the extended-release tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. Do not share leftover antibiotics.

Common side effects
Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, headache and skin rash may occur.

Precautions
Do not use it without medical advice if there has been an allergy to faropenem, penicillins, cephalosporins or other beta-lactam antibiotics. Seek medical help for breathing difficulty, facial swelling, severe rash or severe/persistent diarrhoea. Tell the doctor about kidney or liver problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and all other medicines being taken.
