What is it used for?
This medicine is used to relieve painful muscle spasms and the associated pain in musculoskeletal conditions, such as painful back or neck problems. It is generally used for short-term treatment when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
Etoricoxib reduces the production of substances that cause pain and inflammation. Thiocolchicoside helps relax tight or spasming muscles.

How to take/use it
Take it only as prescribed by the doctor. Do not take more often or for longer than advised. It may cause dizziness or sleepiness, so avoid driving or operating machinery if affected. Do not take it with other painkillers or anti-inflammatory medicines unless advised by a doctor.

Common side effects
Indigestion, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness and sleepiness may occur. Seek medical help for severe stomach pain, black stools, swelling, breathing difficulty or an allergic reaction.

Precautions
Inform the doctor about a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding, heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, kidney or liver problems, asthma triggered by painkillers, or seizures. Avoid use during pregnancy, especially late pregnancy, and while breastfeeding unless specifically advised. Women who could become pregnant should follow the prescriber’s advice about effective contraception. Avoid alcohol and seek advice before using this medicine with other medicines.
