What is it used for?
Used for temporary relief of acidity, heartburn, indigestion and gas-related bloating or discomfort.
How does it work?
Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide neutralise excess stomach acid. Simethicone helps gas bubbles join together so trapped gas can pass more easily.
How to take/use it
Shake the suspension well before use. Measure it with the supplied measuring device and take it exactly as directed on the label or by a doctor. Keep a 2–4 hour gap from other medicines unless a doctor or pharmacist advises otherwise.
Common side effects
Constipation or loose stools, nausea, stomach cramps and a chalky or unpleasant taste may occur.
Precautions
Seek medical advice before use if there is kidney disease. Do not use for a prolonged period without medical advice. Consult a doctor if symptoms are severe, keep returning, or do not improve. Tell a doctor or pharmacist about other medicines, as antacids can affect their absorption.
